Teen and Adult Workshops
The learner will be given a thorough introduction to the sewing machine and its basic functions. They will be lead through pinning, marking, cutting and fusing techniques, fabric choice and the basics of hand stitching. There will be some sewing practice and then they will cut and sew a basic dress, bag, or apron.
This is a bring-your-own machine course as it is best to learn on your own machine. However machines are available for anyone who doesn't have one. All required tools, equipment, and haberdashery are supplied.
Bring a lunch and 2-3 meters of fabric with you (further info on booking). This course is suitable for absolute beginners and for intermediate learners. This course is also suitable for those interested in studying fashion design in college and want a head start with the sewing skills.
