This camp provides a thorough introduction to the sewing machine and its basic functions.  There are some sewing practices to start with.  After that there is a choice of a large project for example a bag or apron.  

This is a bring-your-own machine course as it is always best to learn on your own machine.  However machines are supplied to anyone who doesn't have one.  All required tools, equipment, and haberdashery are supplied.

Please bring a lunch and 2 meters (minimum)of fabric with you (further details given on booking).  The emphasis of this camp is on having fun while learning so learners will be encouraged to choose projects they are interested in and facilitated at whatever skill level they are at.   This camp is suitable for beginners and improvers age 10 to 13.  14 years and older prefer to join the teen/adult workshops.
